The conference sought to collaboratively augment existing forums in the industry to grow the understanding of The BSA Part 3 & FSA for all duty holders in the built environment.

The conference running order and bios of the speakers and facilitators highlighted the uniqueness of the The Steering Group formed for the ongoing USHA/BIM/BSA/FSA Workshop Series. The conference generated a series of questions and queries from attendees. The speakers and facilitators provided answers to queries raised at the conference and indicated ongoing availability to help those who have requested support.

The steering group for the Workshop Series essentially seeks to work collaboratively and augment existing forums to grow the understanding of The BSA & FSA for all duty holders in the built environment.

The USHA Universities BSA Workshop Series aligns with The ICE Supporting Academia Initiative - which was created in order to respond to a request from the HSE to ensure safety, health and welfare topics are up to date. There were cases of students being taught old legislation and so The HSE reached out to all professional institutions to put remedial measures in place.

For over 17 years M. Sackey was involved with The Institution of Civil Engineers Safety, Health & Wellbeing Community (and formerly Chair of The Safety Expert Panel). The Community continues to promote the use of the safety risk management, health and wellbeing best practices to ICE members, within the built environment industry and the wider society.

The ICE - H,S&W Knowledge Network / Community developed and provides resources for teaching health and safety risk management, fostering work-ready graduates capable of enhancing the construction industry's safety performance. The brochure* and flyer describe the support available for lecturers and students.
